Program Summary:
El programa tiene 12 módulos que buscan alcanzar los objetivos de comunicación propuestos.
Program description:
This program consists of six modules of 80 hours each in which the student progressively develops in the different units making up the courses to reach the proposed communication objectives. Each module is accompanied by learning activities in and out of the class which are guided by the coordinator.
Program aimed at: Adults from 18 years old with completed highschool education.
Levels: 12 modules
Hourly intensity: 40 hours per module
Starting and completion dates: Because of the personalized nature of the Spanish courses, start and end dates depend on the number of hours per week agreed or required (for the case of PT3 visa students), in the registration process
Associated services: Students can use the equipment and materials from the Center´s Reading Room and Computer Center.
Cultural activities included in the program: There are no extra mural activities in the program. However, Spanish students have access to a variety of cultural activities of the University of Antioquia, found in the cultural agenda: http://aprendeenlinea.udea.edu.co/revistas/index.php/almamater
Requirements for registration: Before the first class, the student will write a placement test which consists of a written part and an interview. This placement test is offered to students who hold some communicative competences in Spanish.
Cost per level or course: External students (not in exchange program): Module: 1680000 Colombian pesos. Textbook 120,000 pesos (twition will be reduced for groups of the same source). Total cost of program: 20`160,000 Colombian pesos.
Lodging Information for foreign students: The minimum number of hours is 4 per week, and the maximum is negotiated according to the students´ needs. For students with TP-3 visa a minimum of 10 hours per week is required.
The price per hour is COL $43.500, which means COP$1.740.000 per module.
All classes are personalized. However, there are special prices for groups of students who come together and share the same group.
