Program description:
The Latin American Center, with more than 45 years’ experience of TeachingSpanish to Foreigners, is an institution with one of the longest track records in this field in Colombia and Latin America.
Program aimed at: Foreigners who want to develop or improve their ability to communicate in a correct and efficient manner in the Spanish Language, and to experience some aspects of Colombian and Latin American culture.
Levels: 12 levels
Hourly intensity: 80 academic hours per level, 1academic hour= 60 minutes
Starting and completion dates: August 10th to September 4rd
September 8th to October 5th
October 7th to November 5th
November 9th to December 7th
Associated services: The Latin American Center also offers:

• Courses for specific purposes

• Language proficiency examinations

• A teacher training program

• Advisory and consultancy services for institutions who work in the area of Spanish as a Foreign Language, SFL.

Requirements for registration: • To take a course in Spanish for Foreigners at the Universidad Javeriana the candidate must have a Temporary Visitor’s (TV) stampif he/she is going to study for less than three months, or a Student Visa if the period of study is more than three months. To obtain aTemporary Visitor’s stamp orStudent Visa, the University will help with the necessary documentation for their application to the Colombian Embassy or Ministry of External Affairs, should this be necessary.

Cost per level or course: The cost per level is $2.226.000 (cost per hour: $27.825)COP
Lodging Information for foreign students: Pontificia Universidad Javeriana does not offer housing options nor has dormitories on its own.
